IMCTC Receives a Delegation from the National Counter-Terrorism Center of the Republic of Zambia

The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalitions, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi received at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, a delegation from the National Counter-Terrorism Center of the Republic of Zambia headed by Zambia's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, HE, Duncan Mulima, where both sides discussed matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the Zambian delegation was briefed on IMCTC's mission, objectives and role across counter-terrorism domains, coordination and intensification of member countries' efforts to counter terrorism and violent extremism. The delegation was also briefed on IMCTC's publications covering the ideology, communications domains as well as the latest development and updates on terrorist organizations, incidents around the world and IMCTC's role in closely monitoring such activities.

IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, commended Zambia's role in countering violence, extremism, its belief in tolerance and rejection of hatred. He also pointed out that Zambia enjoys a strategic geographical location in south-central Africa is helpful in enhancing the regional and international efforts to counter terrorism and extremism. Moreover, Zambia takes part in many regional and international initiatives and programs that seek to strengthen the security and counter-terrorism in Africa. The Secretary General concluded his remarks by adding that Zambia's participation in the Coalition is going to have a positive impact in realizing IMCTC's noble mission.​
