The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition received a delegation from the Command and Staff College's course for students from brotherly and friendly countries in the MA program of Military Sciences at its headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The delegation was met by Maj. Gen. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Qurashi, IMCTC Military Commander's Assistant

The delegation received a briefing on IMCTC's main activities across IMCTC domains and its strategies for implementing IMCTC's initiatives. In addition to its role in countering extremism, it coordinates all efforts to counter terrorist tendencies through ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, military initiatives, and the coordination and stepping up of member states' efforts. Further, the delegation was briefed on the latest developments regarding terrorist groups, incidents around the world, and the role of the IMCTC in monitoring such developments.

During the visit, Maj. Gen. Al-Qurashi emphasized that IMCTC is built on the principles of legitimacy, independence, coordination, and resourcing. It ensures all its counterterrorism actions and efforts comply with international regulations, norms, and laws.

It is worth mentioning that this visit is part of the joint efforts between IMCTC and related centers, organizations, and entities. These efforts aim to strengthen partnerships in the exchange of expertise to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and reject violence and extremism.
