IMCTC Delegation Virtually Visits Cities Destroyed by Terrorism

A delegation from the IMCTC visited the “Cities Destroyed by Terrorism” Exhibition, which is currently being held at the National Museum in Riyadh, Sunday. The IMCTC delegation members were briefed on the concept of the exhibition through a virtual tour designed by augmented reality techniques, which brought them back to famous Arab cultural sites in Mosul, Nineveh, Aleppo, Palmyra and Leptis Magna, and made them feel the magnitude of the cultural loss caused by terrorism against these destroyed sites.

The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with the Arab World Institute in Paris, runs until May 18. It includes pictures, videos and collections of cultural and archaeological sites that have been destroyed or threatened with destruction by extremist and terrorist groups.
