IMCTC hold a presentation on Counter-Terrorist Financing

The Islamic Military Counter-terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) held a presentation on "Shining a light on counter-terrorist financing," delivered by Col. Saad bin Ali Al-Shahrani, delegate of Saudi Arabia to IMCTC in CTF domain, in the presence of IMCTC secretary-general, member countries’ delegates, and IMCTC personnel.

Col. Al-Shahrani, highlighted the leading role of Saudi Arabia in counter-terrorist financing and the key international efforts in this regard. He further stressed the importance of implementing the UN Security Council resolutions pertaining to CTF, best practices as well as their legal and legislative frameworks. Moreover, Col. Al-Shahrani underlined the importance of strengthening the level of international intergovernmental cooperation and coordination on counter-terrorism and its financing, for effectively implementing the UNSC resolutions and the positive implications of that on IMCTC member countries.

The presentation is part of a series of Counter-terrorist financing domain-related symposia, seminars, and workshops delivered by IMCTC in collaboration with member countries’ delegates. As mentioned above, CTF is part of IMCTC’s four counterterrorism domains, i.e. ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military).
