The Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition(IMCTC) held on Monday, Aug.9, 2021, at its headquarters in Riyadh, an event titled: (Violent Extremism De-radicalization Strategy) delivered by Dr. Mansour Al-Qarni, head of Ideology department at IMCTC, in the presence of IMCTC Secretary-General, member countries’ delegates and personnel.
The presentation detailed the approach that need to be used in de-radicalizing violent extremism ideology adherents and how to engage in dialogue with radicalized individuals in order to modify their violent extremist ideology.
The event is part of a series ideology domain focused symposia, speeches and panel discussions held regularly by IMCTC. It worth noting that ideology is part of IMCTC’s four key counter-terrorism domains, namely; (ideology, communications, counter terrorist financing and military).
