The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition held, on Sunday, June 11, 2023, a presentation titled “Broadcast Media & its Role in Countering Terrorism" delivered by the Delegate of Togolese Republic to IMCTC, Lt. Col. Andje Palakiyem Aklesso, in the presence of IMCTC Secretary General and Member States' Delegates.
During which, Lt. Col. Aklesso explored the functions of broadcast media outlets in countering terrorism and dissemination of messages of moderation. Further, he stressed the importance of the careful selection of media material for the audience taking into account the mainstream religious and intellectual orientations so that media can convey constructive and noble messages.
