The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition held, at its headquarters in Riyadh, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, an event titled: “Be Cyber Smart”; timed to coincide with the international efforts to celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The event aimed at raising cybersecurity security awareness and implement best security practices. Speakers at the event explained the concepts of cybersecurity, hacking, phishing, social engineering, how to secure devices, software and networks, among other things.
Meanwhile, a parallel virtual reality demo of advanced technologies also took place simulating digital protection processes, as well as explanation of the dimensions of cybersecurity attacks.
It is worth noting that the event is a part of educational activities designed to raise IMCTC member states’ Delegates’ awareness & enhance their capabilities to guard against cyber threats.
