IMCTC made a presentation, featuring Semiotic Analysis for Visual Discourse in Terrorist Content at the IMCTC Headquarters in Riyadh, delivered by Dr. Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Subaihi, Professor of Communications at the College of Media and Communication, IMAMU, along with Delegate of Communication of Saudi Arabia to IMCTC. Attendees included the delegates of the IMCTC member countries and IMCTC personnel and staff.

Dr. Al-Subaihi analyzed the visual discourse to develop visual and cultural awareness of meanings and expressions included in the images, revealing hidden semantics conveyed by the images by using semiotic analysis approach techniques. He further touched upon the semiotic analysis over two themes: the skill and cognitive theme and visual content production theme.

It is worth noting that the presentation is part of a series of communications-related symposia, seminars, and workshops delivered by IMCTC in close cooperation with the delegates of the IMCTC member countries to better enhance the IMCTC four counterterrorism domains: ideology, communications, combating terrorist financing, and military.
