IMCTC Secretary-General receives the Moroccan ambassador to Saudi Arabia

The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received the ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Mustafa Al-Mansouri, where they both discussed areas of joint cooperation in counterterrorism as well as strengthening the relationship between both sides. 

During the meeting, IMCTC efforts in counterterrorism in the four domains (ideology, communications, CTF and military) were highlighted and its role in coordinating the efforts of IMCTC member countries in this regard was showcased. Both sides discussed a range of issues regarding the latest regional and international developments of counterterrorism and the efforts made in combating terrorism. Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi underscored the role played the Kingdom of Morocco as a member of IMCTC and emphasized the importance of strengthening relations, enhancing cooperation, exchange of experiences and expertise in furtherance of countering violent extremism and terrorism.  

For his part, the Moroccan ambassador commended the significant role played by IMCTC in creating strategic partnerships among member and supporting countries as well as international organizations. He further lauded IMCTC efforts in fostering relations and ongoing cooperation with all countries for capacity building, exchange of best international practices, information and expertise in combating terrorism as well as joining other international efforts to maintain international peace and security.
