The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) exchanges a joint cooperation memorandum with the United States Central Command (USCENCOM)

IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020 a delegation from the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) headed by Col. Andrew Whiskeyman, head of Information Operations Division at USCENTCOM.

Over the course of the meeting, both sides discussed issues related to counterterrorism and the efforts made in this regard. Furthermore, the two parties discussed IMCTC’s role, efforts and counterterrorism initiatives in the domains of ideology, communications, anti-terrorism financing and military. The signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the two parties was exchanged during the meeting. All these efforts and initiatives seek to solidify the cooperation and coordination among IMCTC member countries and supporting nations.

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi emphasized that this Memorandum of Cooperation is a further step in enhancing the strategic partnership and integration between IMCTC and the US Central Command to achieve more cooperation, coordination and integration in countering terrorism and violent extremist ideology.

It worth noting that IMCTC consist of 41 member countries working together to coordinate and redouble their efforts to participate in the global war on violent extremism and terrorism and to join other international efforts aimed at preserving international peace and security.
