Military Commander of The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition Visits Egypt to Meet the Minister of Defense

28th September, 2018, Egypt: His Excellency General Raheel Sharif, Military Commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), headquartered in Riyadh, visits the Arab Republic of Egypt officially to meet His Excellency General Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Defense along with senior officers in the field of counter-terrorism.

This visit is part of the Engagement Program developed to engage Ministers of Defense of IMCTC Member Countries with the aim to explore avenues of collaboration between IMCTC Center and competent authorities in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Along with being one of IMCTC’s founding Member Countries, Egypt has a unique expertise and programs in the field of counter-terrorism at various levels that enabled the country to fight terrorism successfully, not to mention the success being achieved in its current campaign against terrorism in North Sinai.

Being the largest Islamic coalition, IMCTC unites efforts institutionally and adopts the governance needed to organize its operations, activities, and future initiatives, focusing on four domains that are Ideology, Communication, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Military.
