IMCTC Secretary-General receives the Russian military attaché to Saudi Arabia

Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received on Wed. Dec. 11, 2019, at the IMCTC headquarters, Col. Andre Berezken, military attaché of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Secretary-General welcomed the Russian military attaché appreciating his visit to IMCTC headquarters.

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi explained that IMCTC has a fully integrated set of initiatives in the domains of ideology, communications, counter terrorism financing as well as the military domain. All these initiatives aim to strengthen avenues of cooperation and coordination among IMCTC member countries, based on values of legitimacy, independence, coordination and participation to ensure that all member countries’ efforts are in line with international law, rules and norms.

It worth noting that IMCTC comprises 41 member countries working closely together to coordinate and redouble their efforts in the global war against violent extremism and terrorism and joining other international efforts which aim at preserving international peace and security.​
