As part of the series of activities and events organized by IMCTC in 2021, IMCTC held a presentation entitled: "The Psychological and Societal Drivers of Joining Violent Extremist Groups" on January 12, 2021, at its headquarters. The presentation was presented by Dr. Mansour Al-Qarni, the director of the Ideological Directorate at the IMCTC Center, under the patronage of the IMCTC Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi and with the presence of member countries' delegates and IMCTC personnel.

Dr. Al-Qarni pointed out the significant impact of psychological and societal factors that can lead young people to join violent extremist organizations and the vital and direct effects of these factors to create a fertile environment for vulnerable people to engage in criminal acts.

It is noteworthy that IMCTC is an alliance of 41 countries that work together to coordinate and multiply their efforts in the international fight against violent extremism and terrorism and to join other international security and peacekeeping efforts.
