The session was delivered by Professor Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Subaihi, Delegate of KSA to IMCTC in the Communications Domain.

The session highlighted the definition of media coverages of counterterrorism-related actions, the reality of media treatment of terrorism, strategic premises of covering terrorism issues through media, characteristics of the digital environment and its relationship with media coverage of terrorism issues.

The session was well-received by the participants as it contributed in enhancing their skills in media work related to countering terrorism.  Of great note, this session was held within a framework of courses, forums and workshops organized by IMCTC to build capacity and exchange best practices that support efforts made to achieve the IMCTC objectives in fighting violent extremism and terrorism.
