His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received a delegation of cadets of a counter-terrorism course for Indonesian Armed Forces personnel on 23 October 2019 at the IMCTC Headquarters in Riyadh. The visit falls into the knowledge-sharing context among Islamic countries in interest of fighting violent extremism and terrorism.

The visiting delegation listened to a detailed explanation of the IMCTC’s endeavors to fight violent extremism and terrorism through initiatives across ideology, communications, terrorist financing and military domains.

H.E. Major General Al-Moghedi pointed out during the visit that the IMCTC is based on legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and aligning all Member Countries’ efforts in fighting terrorism with international laws, norms and regulations.

Of great note, IMCTC is a Pan-Islamic coalition of 41 countries that have come together to coordinate and multiply their individual efforts in the global fight against terrorism and violent extremism and to effectively join other international security and peacekeeping efforts.
