​​Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) organized a symposium on Violent Extremism and Development Challenges in West Africa, on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at the IMCTC Center’s grand auditorium. 

Dr. Mustapha Abdallah, Researcher at Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), participated as a speaker in the symposium, which was moderated by Dr. Mansour bin Saeed Alqarni, the Director of the Ideological Directorate, in the presence of Maj. Gen. Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the IMCTC Secretary-General and IMCTC Center’s personnel. 

The speaker of the symposium addressed the dimensions of local development and its role in promoting social peace in West Africa. He further touched upon the future threats and challenges that face development due to violent extremism.

It is noteworthy that IMCTC is an alliance of forty-one countries that work together to coordinate and multiply their efforts in the international fight against violent extremism and terrorism and to join other international security and peacekeeping efforts.
