IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received today at IMCTC's headquarters in Riyadh, Brig. Gen. Moussa Salaou Barmou, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Niger, and the accompanying delegation.

During the visit, Brig. Gen. Barmou was briefed on IMCTC's key activities and its role in coordinating international counter terrorism efforts across ideology, communications, countering terrorist financing, and military domains. The delegation was also familiarized with IMCTC's efforts in monitoring, tracking, and analysis operations of terrorist groups and organizations worldwide.

Brig. Gen. Moussa Barmou commended IMCTC's comprehensive counter terrorism strategy, noting IMCTC's effective approach in addressing extremist ideologies adopted by terrorist groups to manipulate and recruit youth into violence and extremism. He emphasized that international cooperation plays a crucial role in eradicating these groups.

For his part, IMCTC Secretary General welcomed the guest and his visiting delegation, expressing his appreciation for the visit, which highlights the Republic of Niger's commitment to fight terrorism and extremism. He affirmed that Niger's presence among the Sahel countries demonstrates its belief in collaborative efforts to counter terrorism and reject violence and extremism.​
