IMCTC Secretary-General meets with the Chief of Defense Staff of the Republic of the Gambia

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi met with the Chief of Defense Staff of the Republic of the Gambia, Lt. Gen. Mamat O. Cham, in Banjul. Both sides discussed avenues of cooperation between IMCTC and the Republic of the Gambia. Lt. Gen. Cham was briefed on IMCTC's initiatives across its domains: ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military. 

HE, Lt. Gen. Cham, welcomed Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi and praised the IMCTC's efforts in serving member countries' interests in the fight against terrorism. He also commended IMCTC's achievements in coordinating international efforts against terrorism and underscored the crucial role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the host country in supporting the Coalition since its establishment. This support is due to the Kingdom's belief in international solidarity.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 15th Islamic Summit Conference in Banjul, themed "Enhancing unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development."​
