The Islamic Military Counter-terrorism Coalition received, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at its headquarters in Riyadh, a delegation from the Spanish Ministry of Defense, led by Lt. Gen. Paulino Garcia Diego – Advisor to the Secretary-General on Defense Policy for Diplomatic Defense at the Spanish Ministry of Defense. The delegation was met by Major General Abdullah bin Hamed Al-Qurashi, IMCTC Military Commander's Assistant, and the two parties discussed issues of mutual interest and ways to improve collaborative counterterrorism efforts.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on IMCTC's efforts to coordinate international efforts in counterterrorism domains, including Ideology, Communications, Counter-Terrorist Financing, and Military. The delegation was also briefed on IMCTC's publications, monitoring, and follow-up operations to monitor and analyze extremist groups across the world.
