IMCTC Secretary General Receives Benin's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi received at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, His Excellency, Ambassador Adam Bagoudou Zakari of the Republic of Benin to Saudi Arabia and the accompanying delegation.

Over the course of the meeting, Ambassador Zakari received a briefing on IMCTC’s counter-terrorism efforts across the four counter-terrorism domains, namely, ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military, and its role in coordinating member countries’ efforts in this regard. Ambassador Zakari was also updated on the latest developments regarding terrorist organizations, incidents around the world, methods used by IMCTC to monitor and track such organizations.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Zakari commended IMCTC’s critical efforts in countering and eliminating the scourge of terrorism in partnership with other international organizations tasked with countering terrorism and violent extremism. He further praised the key and leading role of Saudi Arabia in establishing, supporting this Coalition and the appropriate measures taken in this respect to nip terrorism and criminal groups in the bud.

Both sides also discussed areas of joint collaboration between IMCTC and the Republic of Benin on counter-terrorism across the various domains.
