Secretary-General of IMCTC, Major General Mohammed Saeed Al-Moghedi, received at the IMCTC Headquarters, His Excellency Iya Tidjani, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameron to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the official delegation.

Tidjani was provided with a detailed explanation on IMCTC counterterrorism efforts across the key four domains of action: ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military and the vital role IMCTC plays in coordinating the counterterrorism efforts of the IMCTC member countries. In a similar vein, Tidjani was also briefed by the Situation Room on the latest statistics, figures, and information relevant to different types of terrorist acts.

Tidjani commended the efforts made by IMCTC to best counter and eliminate the plague of terrorism in close cooperation with international organizations and coalitions concerned with counterterrorism and violent extremist ideology, as well as the leading role carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting IMCTC, providing all concerted support possible to better contribute to the elimination of terrorism and criminal groups.

On his side, Al-Moghedi pointed out that IMCTC invites the Republic of Cameron to join IMCTC as a member country, given the political, economic, and military status of Cameron among West and Central Africa, and its great expertise in countering different types of terrorist acts, being always on the lookout for extremist and terrorist groups, such as Boko Haram and other criminal groups, that cause chaos and wreak havoc on the pretext of supporting Islam.
