The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received today at its headquarters, Wed. Jan. 11, 2023, the Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, HE, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, and the accompanying delegation. HE, was received by IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi and member countries Delegates.
Over the course of the visit, HE, the Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs was briefed on the IMCTC's counter-terrorism efforts, its role in countering extremist ideology, and the coordination of all member countries’ efforts to confront terrorist activities through its ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military initiatives. The briefing also covered the latest updates and developments on terrorist groups, incidents around the world, as well as the means of monitoring and tracking those activities.
Dr. Al-Bayari also met with some of IMCTC member countries’ Delegates and got familiarized with the key tasks they perform at IMCTC in collaboration with their fellow Delegates from the rest of member countries.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Al-Bayari commended Saudi Arabia’s initiative in establishing IMCTC to act in conjunction with other regional and international organizations as a bulwark against radical terrorist organizations across the world and lauded IMCTC's efforts across counterterrorism domains, in addition to its great role at the regional and international levels.
