The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed S. Al-Moghedi, received, at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, HE, Seidi Dino, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to Saudi Arabia.
Over the course of the visit, ambassador Dino received a briefing on IMCTC counterterrorism efforts across the four domains (ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing and military) and its role in coordinating its member countries’ efforts. He further received a detailed briefing at IMCTC situation room on the latest statistics, numbers and information regarding various acts of terrorism.
The Guinean Ambassador commended IMCTC’s efforts in countering and eradicating the scourge of terrorism in close cooperation with relevant international organizations and coalitions tasked with countering terrorism and violent extremist ideology. He further commended the leading role played by Saudi Arabia in establishing IMCTC and doing everything possible to defeat terrorism and criminal groups.
Meanwhile, both sides explored avenues of joint cooperation between IMCTC and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau on matters of counter-terrorism across the various domains and denunciation of violence and extremism.
