IMCTC has concluded today, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at its headquarters in Riyadh, a training course on: “Counter-Terrorism: Principals and Practices” geared for IMCTC member countries’ delegates in collaboration with the Center for Defense Studies, School of Security Studies, King’s College London, and the UK MOD.

IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi pointed out that the training course is a fruit of a memorandum of understanding and joint cooperation signed between IMCTC and the United Kingdom in 2018 on counterterrorism, and sharing the latest trends that help expose terrorist organizations across ideology, communications and counter terrorist financing domains. Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi further added that such advanced training courses help in capacity-building for IMCTC member countries’ delegates as per their domains (Ideology, Communications, Counter-terrorism Financing, Military) to keep them abreast of the latest international trends regarding counter-terrorism and combating violent extremism.

It is noteworthy that IMCTC operates as a fully integrated organization that seeks to strengthen cooperation between member countries in countering terrorism across the various domains, as well as functioning based on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and ensuring that all member countries’ efforts are in line with international laws, norms and regulations.
