The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, a delegation from the Presidency of Staff of Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces, led by Commodore Eisa bin Salem Al-Owaisi, assistant chief of staff of Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces for management and supplies.

The visiting delegation received a detailed briefing on IMCTC's counter-terrorism efforts, its role in countering violent extremism, coordination of all efforts in confronting terrorist threats through ideology, communications, counter terrorist financing and military initiatives, as well as its efforts in coordinating and intensifying member countries delegates.

IMCTC Secretary-General pointed out during his meeting with the Omani delegation that the Coalition is founded on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and seeks to ensure that all IMCTC member countries' counter-terrorism actions are in line with international law, norms and regulations.

For his part, Commodore Al-Owaisi commended the great efforts made by IMCTC to all member countries through a set of initiatives, how such initiatives are implemented, in addition to IMCTC's strategy in this regard.

It worth noting that IMCTC comprises 41 countries that work together to coordinate, unite and support ideology, communications, CTF and military efforts effectively and efficiently in partnership with friendly countries and international organizations to counter-terrorism.​
