IMCTC Secretary-General meets with the UAE’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs

The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, met today, Tue. Nov.16, 2021, in Dubai, with the UAE’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs, HE, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Bowardi. Over the course of the meeting, both sides explored avenues of common cooperation, shared visions and deepening ties to achieve the desired objectives in the war on ter​rorism.  Meanwhile, both sides also discussed issues of mutual interests between the United Arab Emirates and IMCTC as well as the latest developments regarding IMCTC’s counterterrorism strategies and initiatives. 

Maj. Gen. commended the efforts of the UAE, as an IMCTC member state and its experience and expertise in countering terrorism and extremism. The meeting took place at the sidelines of Dubai Airshow 2021, bringing together regional and international organizations and dignitaries taking part in the show to see the latest technologies in aviation industry. 

The visit is part of IMCTC’s efforts to forge strategic partnerships with member countries, supporting nations and international organizations and to strengthen the relationships, ongoing cooperation with all countries for the purpose of capacity-building, exchange of best practices, information sharing in counterterrorism and joining other international efforts aimed at preserving international peace and security.
