IMCTC receives the Chief of General Staff of Kuwait Armed Forces

In the presence of His Excellency, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the Secretary-General of IMCTC, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, welcomed today His Excellency Lt. Gen. Bandar bin Salem Al-Muzain, Chief of General Staff of Kuwait Armed Forces, and the accompanying delegation at the IMCTC's headquarters in Riyadh.

Over the course of the visit, HE was briefed on IMCTC's mission and approach across ideology, communications, countering terrorist financing, and military domains, introduced to IMCTC's publications. HE also was briefed on the Situation Room, which is responsible for tracking, and analyzing terrorism indicators based on quantitative data, regional information, and statistical analyses. These indicators help in tracking and analyzing terrorist groups' operations and incidents worldwide.

At the conclusion of the visit, Lt. Gen. Al-Muzain commended IMCTC's comprehensive counterterrorism strategy, and its professional approach that focuses on understanding the dimensions and methods of extremist groups. He also commended IMCTC's efforts in serving its member states and the coordination efforts made in this regard.

For his part, Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi expressed his deep appreciation for the visit of HE Lt. Gen. Bandar bin Salem Al-Muzain. He praised the efforts of the State of Kuwait in its fight against terrorism and extremism. Additionally, he highlighted the contributions of the Delegates of the State of Kuwait at IMCTC HQ and their role, alongside the rest of other IMCTC fellow member countries' delegates, in exchanging international expertise, cooperating to counter terrorism, and eradicating extremist groups.​
