IMCTC held, on Monday, October 18, 2021, at its Headquarters in Riyadh, a presentation on "Social Media Networks and Cyberspace Recruitment," delivered by Dr. Sara Al-Quraini, a staff member of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of IMCTC Secretary-General, member countries’ delegates and personnel.
Over the course of the presentation, the speaker analyzed social media outlets, cyberspace recruitment and the messaging content of the extremist groups intended to entice young people on social media and use them to carry out terrorist operations.
It is worth noting that the presentation is part of a series of communications symposia, presentations, and workshops that focus on the communications domain, as part of IMCTC’s four key counter-terrorism domains, namely, (ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military).
