Bahrain’s minister of foreign affairs, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, received in Manama, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, IMCTC’s Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, where they explored avenues of cooperation, common visions as well as strengthening the relationships to accomplish the desired objectives in the fight against terrorism. Along the same line, both sides discussed issues of mutual interests, the progress made by IMCTC in terms of its counterterrorism strategy and initiatives.
Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi stressed the importance of Bahrain’s efforts as an IMCTC member with an extensive experience and expertise in countering terrorism and violent extremism.
The visit comes as part of IMCTC’s desire to establish strategic partnerships between its member countries, supporting nations, and international organizations. In the meantime, the visit seeks to deepen mutual ties, ongoing cooperation with the rest of other countries for capacity-building, exchange of best international practices, information, expertise sharing in counterterrorism and joining other international efforts aimed at preserving international peace and security.
