The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) held a presentation entitled “International Requirements for Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism” on Thursday, 27th May 2021, at its headquarters in Riyadh. The presentation was presented by Mr. Turki bin Ali Al-Majhad, Advisor at Capital Market Authority, under the patronage of IMCTC Acting Secretary-General and the presence of IMCTC member countries’ delegates and IMCTC personnel.
During the presentation, Al-Majhad noted the quality of the policies and activities applied by states to develop and implement policies and activities against money-laundering, the financing of terrorism, and the financing of weapons proliferation.
He also emphasized the importance of states' recognition of financial institutions, businesses, and non-financial professions specified by risk assessment results of money-laundering and the financing of terrorism at the national level.
