The Islamic Military Counter-terrorism Coalition organized today, Tuesday, 28-09-2021, at its headquarters in Riyadh, a presentation on “Analysis of terrorist groups’ materials on electronic networks” delivered by Lt. Col. Muctar Tijan, Delegate of the Republic of Sierra Leone to IMCTC, in the presence of IMCTC Secretary General, member countries’ Delegates and personnel. 

The presentation covered the role played by electronic networks in realizing terrorist groups’ objectives. Lt. Col. Tijan displayed a set of selected excerpts from terrorist organizations including Al-Shabab, Al-Qaeda, Daesh and Boko Haram, and their role in exploiting online networks in spreading extremist ideology, provision of training, fund raising, recruitment, incitement and planning via online media outlets, without requiring any physical movement of individuals. He further, linked the dimension of the concept online networks, with the rest of IMCTC counterterrorism domains, namely ideology, communications, counterterrorist financing and military.

The presentation is part of a series of events, seminars and symposia that address the commutations domain as one of IMCTC’s counterterrorism domains (ideology, communications, CTF and military).
