IMCTC Secretary-General Receives the Military Attaché of the Arab Republic of Egypt

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received on Thursday, December 30, 2021, HE, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Naji Yousef, the Military Attaché of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Saudi Arabia. Over the course of the visit, Egypt’s military attaché received a detailed briefing on IMCTC's counterterrorism efforts across the four domains (ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military) as well as its role in coordinating its member countries’ efforts in this regard.

Meanwhile, IMCTC Secretary General commended the role played by the Arab Republic of Egypt as a member country as well as for its efforts in countering terrorism and violent extremism across its various forms and manifestations.

For his part, the Military Attaché of Egypt, lauded IMCTC's efforts in countering terrorism, and stressed the importance of continuing the joint cooperation and sharing experiences that further strengthen the efforts of countering violent extremism and terrorism.

It is worth noting that IMCTC comprises 41 member countries working together to coordinate and intensify their efforts in the global war against violent extremism, terrorism and joining other international efforts aimed at preserving international peace and security.
