The Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti army, Lt. Gen. Khaled bin Saleh Al-Sabah, received on Monday, Agu.30, 2021, at the Kuwaiti General Staff Headquarters, IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi. 

Over the course of the meeting Lt. Gen. Al-Sabah was briefed on IMCTC efforts in counterterrorism and its role in coordinating and intensifying member countries efforts as well as exploring avenues of joint cooperation between the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition and the State of Kuwait on matters of mutual interest. 

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi pointed out that the Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition (IMCTC) offers a critical integrated platform that seeks to strengthen cooperation between member countries. He added that IMCTC mission is centered on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and seeks to ensure that all its member countries’ actions and efforts are in line with international regulations, norms and laws. 

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi commended the critical and leading role of the State of Kuwait in countering terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms, shapes and manifestations, in addition to its membership in serval regional and international organization and its noble principle of denouncing violence and extremism and adherence to the principles of tolerance and moderation. ​
