A Military Delegation from a number of Islamic Countries visits IMCTC

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Maj. Gen. Mohammed S. Al-Moghedi, received, at IMCTC headquarters on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, a delegation of military officers from the Republic of Indonesia, Kingdom of Malaysia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, who attended a course on Countering Extremism, held at Saudi Armed Forces Institute for Religious Affairs. The visit is part of exchange programs aimed at countering terrorism and violent extremism. 

Over the course of the visit, the delegation received a detailed briefing on IMCTC efforts in countering terrorism, extremism ideology and its role in coordinating all efforts to counter all forms of terrorism through ideology, communications, counter-terrorism financing and military domain initiatives, in addition to its effort in coordinating and intensifying member countries’ endeavors. 

For his part, IMCTC Secretary-General pointed out that IMCTC is premised on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and ensuring that all member countries’ efforts are in line with international laws, norms and regulations.

It is worth noting that IMCTC comprises 41 member countries working together to coordinate and intensify their efforts effectively and efficiently across the four domains of ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military in collaboration with friendly States and international counter-terrorism organizations.
