A Memorandum of Cooperation between IMCTC and Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Institute for Moderation (Etidal)

The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) signed on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, a memorandum of cooperation with King Abdulaziz University, represented by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Institute for Moderation. Both IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, on the one hand, and Prof. Abdulrahman bin Obaid Al-Youbi, Rector of KAU, Vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Prize (Etidal), on the other hand, signed the memorandum. 

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi pointed out that the memorandum aims to establish a joint fruitful collaboration between PKIM and IMCTC, with the purpose of contributing to the development of the society intellectually, promoting moderation and deepening the sense of national belonging. Signing this memorandum is part of IMCTC’s strategy seeking to build partnerships and leverage the expertise of specialized research centers in IMCTC member countries in furtherance of its objectives.

Maj Gen. Al-Moghedi, further added that this memorandum lays the foundation for better collaboration in conducting studies on countering violent extremism and promoting the culture of moderation. He expressed his hopes that this partnership will bring about better results that contribute to the promotion of moderation culture.

It is worth noting that this cooperation covers various areas including media educational campaigns, studies, research, holding events, conferences as well as educational, training, rehabilitation and technical programs.
