Hate, radicalism speech and the dissemination of false news are increasing in the digital cyberspace. However, the ways in which these phenomena affect society, or the methods used by those who wish to attract followers to their extremist ideas online are rarely analyzed. Perhaps the most important question is, ‘What is the relationship between online hate speech and violence in society?’ Some studies show that more violence is consistent with the spread of a great deal of hatred in social media. Hence, is the hate speech online a cause of violence, or is it just a manifestation of the penetration of extremist groups into societies? Further, what are the circumstances and means by which hate producers and promoters commit violence?
